BRUK
BRUK needed a website that truly reflected the spirit of the restaurant: modern Nordic food made from high-quality ingredients, cocktails crafted with care, and the warm, homely atmosphere of a neighborhood spot.

Their old WordPress site felt cluttered and didn’t capture the essence of what made BRUK special.

I rebuilt their digital presence from scratch, focusing on clarity, simplicity, and rhythm. The new site feels welcoming and intuitive, mirroring the dining experience at BRUK — a modern Scandinavian restaurant where every detail, from food to design, is about creating comfort, quality, and connection.
Context
BRUK is a modern restaurant and cocktail bar in Gothenburg, serving Swedish classics with Nordic twists and a focus on high-quality ingredients. When I joined the project, the restaurant was already open and running, but the team wasn’t happy with their self-built WordPress website — it was confusing, unattractive, and didn’t reflect their identity.
Scope
My role was to redesign the website from the ground up: creating the structure, setting the visual direction, and building a CMS-driven solution in Webflow. I also worked on copywriting, curated imagery from the client’s material, and added a custom hero video to capture the warm, homely feeling of the restaurant.

Mission
The mission was to redesign BRUK’s online presence into something that mirrored the restaurant’s essence: modern Swedish cuisine with high-quality ingredients, Nordic twists, and a strong focus on cocktails. Guests should feel the same cozy, at-home atmosphere on the website as they do in the restaurant.
Challenge
When I got offered the job BRUK already had a logo, a typeface, and a running business. What they didn’t have was a website they were happy with — their self-built WordPress page was confusing, unattractive, and didn’t reflect their brand.

The challenge was to rebuild it from scratch into something beautiful, intuitive, and functional. The client’s top priorities were:

A smooth and simple table booking system.
A CMS solution so the team could easily update their menu.
A design that would feel Scandinavian, modern, and warm.
Outcome
The result was a modern, Scandinavian-inspired website that matches the restaurant’s identity and values. More bookings thanks to a clear booking flow. A CMS menu the client can update anytime. A visual identity that reflects BRUK’s cozy, homely atmosphere. Positive feedback from both guests and staff, who found the new site more beautiful, intuitive, and true to the brand.
